Extremely reactive. Does not occur uncombined in nature. Used in refrigerants and other fluorocarbons. Also in toothpaste as sodium fluoride (NaF) and stannous fluoride (SnF2); also in Teflon. Found in the minerals fluorite (CaF2) and cryolite(Na3AlF6). Electrolysis of hydrofluoric acid (HF) or potassium acid fluoride (KHF2) is the only practical method of commercial production. wm2AdknTcMI Fluorine
Bohrium was first convincingly synthesized in 1981 by a German research team led by Peter Armbruster and Gottfried Münzenberg at the Institute for Heavy Ion Research (Gesellschaft für Schwerionenforschung) in Darmstadt.

The team bombarded a target of bismuth-209 with accelerated nuclei of chromium-54 to produce 5 atoms of the isotope bohrium-262. Named after Niels Bohr, the Danish physicist 9 1886 Henri Moissan France From the Latin word "fluere" meaning "to flow"

Bohrium is harmful due to its radioactivity
The only confirmed example of isomerism in bohrium is in the isotope 262Bh
Bohrium is used for scientific research purposes only.
